Environmental Awareness Seminar and Tree Plantation Programme at ATI Araihazar

One Tree, One Life — Protecting Our Future Together

On 29 July 2026, Shurokkha organised an Environmental Awareness Seminar and Tree Plantation Programme at the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Araihazar, Narayanganj.

The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness, climate resilience and sustainable development among students, teachers, government officials and development partners.

Environmental Awareness Seminar

The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. Kazi Afzal Hossain, Technical Advisor (Environment & Livelihood), Shurokkha, highlighting the growing impacts of climate change on public health, livelihoods and future generations while encouraging collective climate action.

Distinguished Guests

The programme was successfully implemented with the generous support of Mr. Mohammad Abdur Rahim, Managing Director of Classic Freight.

Former Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension Mr. Mokbul Ahmed, Mr. Abdul Kader of ATI Araihazar and other distinguished guests also attended the programme and encouraged collaborative environmental initiatives.

Youth Engagement

Dr. M. M. Taymur Hasan, President of Shurokkha, encouraged students to become environmental ambassadors and reaffirmed Shurokkha's commitment to supporting youth-led climate initiatives.

Rally, Sapling Distribution & Tree Plantation

The programme concluded with an environmental awareness rally followed by sapling distribution and tree plantation activities.

Each participant received a sapling and was encouraged to plant and nurture it at home, educational institutions or workplaces to contribute towards a greener Bangladesh.

Every tree planted today is an investment in a healthier, greener and more climate-resilient future.
